Facebook tip - move the mini-thumbnail that shows up in status updates

If you want to manipulate the mini-thumbnail on Facebook that shows up when you post a status update or comment on someone else’s status update, here’s what you do

  • Go to your Facebook home page
  • Click Profile at the top on the blue line
  • Move your mouse over the upper right hand corner of your profile picture, and a link will show up that says “Change Picture”
    • Note: it is idiotic that Facebook makes it this mysterious
  • Click and it will say “Edit Profile Picture”
  • Choose “Edit Thumbnail” from the list
  • A little pop-up window appears
  • Put the mouse inside the box, and if you click, you can move the picture within the thumbnail box and manipulate the part of the picture that shows up in the small thumbnail
Cool, huh?
